Zinc
Zinc — in skincare
Zinc comes in two forms in Korean skincare: zinc oxide, a mineral UV filter in sunscreens, and zinc PCA, a zinc salt that helps balance oil in creams for oily skin.
What it does for skin
Zinc oxide helps protect against UVA and UVB rays. Zinc PCA helps reduce shine, so oily skin looks fresher.
Who it suits
Zinc oxide sunscreens suit sensitive skin and anyone who prefers mineral filters; zinc PCA suits oily, combination and breakout-prone skin.
How to use it
Apply sunscreen as the last morning step and reapply outdoors every two hours. A sun pact is a top-up over makeup, not a full layer of sunscreen.

SKIN1004 makes a light sunscreen with zinc oxide as its main filter, VT adds zinc oxide to a PDRN sun pact, and Celimax uses zinc PCA in an oil-control cream. All are original Korean products, delivered within 24 hours in Yerevan.
Frequently asked
Zinc oxide or zinc PCA: what is the difference?
Zinc oxide protects against UV; zinc PCA balances oil. They work well together: a zinc PCA cream first, then sunscreen.
Does zinc oxide sunscreen leave a white cast?
It can leave a slight white tint, especially on darker skin, but modern Korean formulas are much lighter than older mineral creams.
