Glow / Radiance — skincare guide

Dull skin and uneven tone respond best to three habits: gentle exfoliation to remove dead cells, brightening ingredients that even out the look of dark spots, and daily sunscreen so marks do not darken again. Good hydration then adds the healthy glow Korean skincare is known for.

Signs and needs

Skin looks grey or tired, and dark spots, sun marks or post-blemish marks make the tone patchy. Dull skin needs hydration, light exfoliation and consistent brightening care, not one strong product.

Key ingredients

Niacinamide and tranexamic acid help even out the look of dark spots. Vitamin C and glutathione add antioxidant protection and brightness. Rice extract softens and brightens, and mild AHA or PHA acids smooth rough texture. You will find them in Beauty of Joseon Glow serums and in Anua Rice 70, Medicube TXA and Glutathione products. The shop has a separate page for each of these ingredients.

A simple routine

In the morning, wash with a gentle cleanser and use a brightening toner or pads. Apply a vitamin C, niacinamide or TXA serum, then a light hydrating cream. Finish with sunscreen SPF 50 every day: without it, brightening care cannot keep up with new marks. In the evening, after cleansing, use an AHA or PHA toner two or three times a week, then a niacinamide serum and cream.

What to avoid

Do not over-exfoliate: daily strong acids and scrubs leave skin dull and irritated. Without sunscreen, dark spots come back. Skip homemade masks with lemon or baking soda.

Frequently asked

What helps with pigmentation on the face?

Daily sunscreen first, then brightening serums with niacinamide, tranexamic acid, vitamin C or alpha-arbutin, such as Beauty of Joseon Glow Deep Serum. Most marks look lighter after eight to twelve weeks.

Can I use niacinamide with vitamin C?

Yes. If your skin is sensitive, use vitamin C in the morning and niacinamide in the evening.

Why does my skin look dull?

Common reasons are dehydration, a build-up of dead cells, lack of sleep and sun. Hydrating toners, gentle exfoliation once or twice a week and daily SPF usually bring the glow back.

What is glass skin and how do I get it?

Glass skin is the Korean term for clear, hydrated skin with a natural glow. It comes from layered hydration and daily sunscreen, not from a single product.
