Tea Tree — in skincare

Tea Tree

Tea tree, from the leaves of the Australian Melaleuca alternifolia, is a classic clarifying ingredient for oily, breakout-prone skin. Korean brands use it diluted, often with soothing centella.

What it does for skin

Tea tree helps reduce the look of blemishes and shine, so skin looks clearer. Centella balances it, keeping skin fresh without the tightness of harsher clarifying products.

Who it suits

Oily, combination and blemish-prone skin, including skin that is also red. Very dry skin may find it slightly drying.

How to use it

After cleansing and toner, apply the sheet mask for 15–20 minutes, press in the remaining essence and follow with cream. Use it one to three times a week.
